The University second baseball team defeated Groton last Saturday afternoon in a fast game which resulted in a 1 to 0 score. For the University, R. M. Loring '18 was very effective in the box throughout the game. Ashburn, for Groton, retired in the fifth in favor of Washburn, who received good support. Groton started a batting rally in the ninth which seemed likely to tie the score, but Loring fanned Davison, with Ashburn on third and King on second.
