Workshop Plays to be Produced Professionally

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Four one-act plays from the 47 Workshop are to be produced in the near future by the Little Playhouse of St. Louis, a theatre in size and purpose similar to the Bandbox Theatre in New York. Among the plays are two which were first given stage presentation by the Dramatic Club, "Good News," and "Five in the Morning." "Good News," by J. F. Ballard '12, later a winner of the John Craig Prize and a member of the Graduate Advisory Committee of the club, was produced in the spring of 1913 together with two other notable plays. "Five in the Morning," by H. Hagedorn '07, one of the best-known playwrights the Workshop and the Dramatic Club have had, was produced in the spring of 1909 when the Dramatic Club was only one year old. The plays will be produced in St. Louis under the direction of C. J. Masseck of Washington University, manager of the Little Playhouse.
