The current number of "Science" publishes some interesting statistics as to the size of the leading universities in the United States. The registration figures here quoted are taken from records made on November 1, 1915. In total number of men undergraduates, Harvard is in the lead with 2,516, though California has 2,023 men and 1,294 women undergraduates, which give it a total of 3,317 if both sexes are included. Harvard, under this rating holds second place.

In the total size of universities, Columbia is in the lead with 11,388. Harvard in ninth place, with Yale number 20, and Princeton, 28. These figures include students of all sorts enrolled for regular work, including the summer session.
