ALL CREWS PRACTICED MONDAY

Potter, Out With Sprained Ankle, Replaced by J. W. Middendorf.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University crew has suffered the loss of A. Potter '17, who has been rowing bow, on account of a sprained ankle. He is not seriously hurt, however, though the nature of the injury makes the time of his return uncertain. J. W. Middendorf '16 replaced him temporarily Monday afternoon.

Practice consisted in a moderately long work-out on the machines and in the tanks. The men first are given individual instructions by Coach Haines, and then have a final row in the tank through which is kept a continuous stream of water. Furthermore, the oars are perforated and these two arrangements make the work as nearly like the river as is possible under the present circumstances.

The Freshmen had their regular afternoon practice and under the direction of their coaches are already showing marked improvement both in unity and individual oarsmanship.

The order of the University boat is it is now follows:

Stroke, C. C. Lund '16; 7, H. B. Cabot '17; 6, D. P. Morgan '16; 5, T. E. Stebbins '17; 4, K. B. G. Parson '16; 3, J. C. Talcott, Jr. '16; 2, Moseley Taylor '18; bow, J. W. Middendorf '16.
