Freshmen Easily Defeated Second Seven 9 to 3

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman hockey team defeated the second seven by the score of 9 to 3 in a practice game at Braeburn yesterday. The game which had been scheduled yesterday between the 1919 team and Exeter was cancelled because of the lack of ice at the Stadium rinks.

Team-work was noticeably lacking in the playing of the second team, but the poor condition of the ice was partly responsible for this deficiency. Kissel and Merrill in the centre of the Freshman line played particularly well, while for the second team Rice was the star.

The summary follows:

Score--Freshmen 9, Second Team 3. Goals--Kissel 4, Trainer 2, Merrill, Hubbard, Flagg, Rice 3. FRESHMEN.  SECOND TEAM. Platt, Hubbard, l.w.  r.w., Powel, Gazzam Merrill, Trainer, l.c.  r.c., Patterson, Furness Kissel, r.c.  l.c., Rice Gross, Flagg, r.w.  l.w., Scott Marshall, c.p.  c.p., Duncan, Ginn White, p.  p., Appleton, Wagner Bishop, g.  g., Liggett
