The Class of 1919 will hold its first smoker of the year in the Living Room of the Union next Thursday evening, December 14, at 8 o'clock. E. L. Casey '19, president of the class, will speak to the Sophomores, and L. K. Garrison '19, the class treasurer, will make a report on the activities of the finance committee, which has already collected a considerable sum of money.
The program for the evening will include an animated "Boob" cartoon, by Goldberg; a comedy, "Luke and the Mermaid", and Anita Stewart in "The Combat. The class Hawaiian quartet, composed of R. D. Sears '19, H. H. Pell '19, J. A. Patterson '19, and B. A. Jenkins '19, will play and F. M. Trainer '19 will entertain on the piano, thus introducing the idea of class talent rather than vaudeville at smokers, a scheme which seems to be the most popular in the class. The usual beer, cider, ginger ale and cigarettes will be provided.
