The annual reception and dinner of the University Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa to the 30 recently elected members from the Junior and Senior classes will take place in the Union next Monday evening. This date is the anniversary of the founding of the Harvard branch, or Alpha Chapter, of the Society, which was first established in the University in 1781.
There will be a business meeting of the chapter in the Trophy Room at 6.30 o'clock, and at 7 o'clock the dinner in the territorial room, Henry Osborn Taylor '78 will act as toastmaster. Keys will be presented to the new members and the marshals for the coming year will receive their patons. Several graduate members will speak, and the poet of the Society will commemorate the occasion in verse.
All undergraduate and graduate members of the Harvard Chapter, and all members of other Phi Beta Kappa chapters who are now students or officers of the University are urged to attend.
