DRAMATISTS HAVE THIS WEEK

COMPETITION WILL END SATURDAY FOR CONTESTANTS IN PLAY RACE.

All manuscripts for the Dramatic Club play competition must be submitted to J. W. D. Seymour '17, Matthews 18, by October 14. The play selected by the judges will be produced by the Club on December 12, 13 and 14. The following rules will govern the competition:

1. The competition is open to all graduate or undergraduate members of the University and of Radcliffe.

2. The plays shall be submitted in good faith for original production by the Dramatic Club. The unsuccessful plays will be returned as soon as the judges decision has been rendered, and the winning play withheld until the production Thereafter, one copy of the play will be retained for the files of the Club, but the play itself shall remain the property of the author; the Dramatic Club, however, having the right to revive the play if it so desires.

3. Plays must be original, and no translations or adaptations will be accepted. Dramatizations of novels, short stories, etc., may be entered, provided full rights to make such dramatizations have been secured.

4. Each play should be signed with a pseudonym only and accompanied by a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the title of the play with the pseudonym, and containing the name of the play, the author's real name and address. These envelopes will be kept by the president until the judges have made their decision.

It is advisable that manuscripts be clear, typewritten copies. Authors should keep copies of the plays they submit. There is no limit placed upon the number of plays to be submitted by one competitor
