Major Henry Lee Higginson '55 will preside over the pre-election rally to be held by the Republican Club in the Living Room of the Union on Monday evening at 8 o'clock. Senator Henry Cabot Lodge '71, and Overseer of the University and member of the Senate for 24 years, will speak as will Robert Luce '82, lieutenant-governor of Massachusetts in 1912, and Edward A. Thurston '96L, chairman of the State Committee.
Before the meeting the members of the Republican Club will parade headed by the Regimental Band, which has been especially engaged for the occasion. Red fire and Roman candles will be much in evidence along the route, which starts in front of University Hall where those taking part will assemble at 7.30. The procession will march through Harvard square around the Freshman dormitories and along Massachusetts avenue to the Union.
G. B. Blaine '17, president of the Republican Club, has appointed the following men who will act as parade marshals, W. H. Meeker '17, E. A. Whitney '17, W. B. Beale '18 and W. O. P. Morgan '18.
