In answer to the discussion which has been prevalent, that the beneficiaries of scholarships maintained by Harvard Clubs do not sufficiently distinguish themselves as scholars in College, the Alumni Bulletin publishes some statistic dealing with the honor men of 1916. These figures show that of the 143 men who received honors at the last Commencement, 61, or nearly 43 per cent received financial aid as Freshmen. For this financial support thirteen Harvard Clubs and several separate scholarship foundations are responsible. The following is the table given the Bulletin:
