The first trials for positions on the Pierian Sodality Orchestra will be held in the Pierian Room in the New Music Building this evening at 8 o'clock. Other trials are on October 1, 2, and 12 at the same hour. The orchestra is to have the privilege of being directed by Modeste E. Alloo, member of the Symphony Orchestra, and former member of the Pierian. The management has already arranged several concerts, and a great year in musical achievement is expected.
