FRESHMAN TRACK MEN TO START

E. H. Clark '96 Succeeds J. F. Powers as Freshman Coach.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

All Freshmen who intend to come out for the 1919 track team this fall should report at the Locker Building on Soldiers Field tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. This call is for all track aspirants, whether of any experience or not; lack of much previous training will not be a serious handicap.

E. H. Clark '96 will be the head coach in Freshman athletics this year, taking the place of J. F. Powers. He will coach in the weight events on both the University and Freshman teams, and in the jumping and pole-vaulting. Mr. Clark is a capable trainer in track and field athletics, winning the all-round championship of the Amateur Athletic Union in 1897 and in 1903, and has written a standard book on this branch of athletics.
