BRIGHT PROSPECTS FOR LACROSSE

Southern Trip In About Two Weeks.--Games Scheduled This Spring.

The prospects for a championship lacrosse team this year are unusually promising. Eleven letter men are back, leaving only one place to be filled by a substitute. In addition Arthur Warwick, the Canadian lacrosse professional who will start the work today, will coach the University team again this year. The coaching thus far has been done by Captain W. E. Nightingale '15, with the assistance of Paul Gustafson '12 and other members of the Boston Lacrosse Club who formerly played on the University team. Warwick coached the team in 1911, 1912, and 1914 with very successful results. The fine weather of March has greatly assisted in the early practice and the team is already far advanced.

The team will start on its southern trip in about two weeks, and will go west during May. Several games will be played with the Boston Lacrosse Club before that time. A game with Yale has also been arranged for May 8. This is the first year that Yale has had a team.

The team as it will play the schedule of games will probably be made up as follows: M. H. Cochran '15, G. E. E. O'Neill '16, p; F. Little '15, c.p.; P. Catton '15, 1d; W. A. Elliott '15, 2d; G. F. Beal '16, 3d; G. Whithead '15, c; W. Lucas '15, 1a; Captain W. E. Nightingale '15, 2a; S. E. Nash '16, 3a; J. R. Fleming '15, o.h.; R. H. Franzen '17, 1.h.

The spring schedule has been arranged as follows:

April 17.--Crescent Athletic Club.

April 19.--Mt. Washington Lacrosse Club.

April 21.--Naval Academy.

April 24.--Johns Hopkins.

May 8.--Yale.
