1918 VOTE ON BEER DIVIDED

527 MEN RESPONDED TO POSTAL CARDS REGARDING CLASS SMOKERS.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Five hundred and twenty-seven Freshmen responded to the postal card canvass started just before vacation to find out the class opinion concerning beer at class smokers, 242 voting for soft drinks, 221--voting for beer and 64 voting for both. In regard to the question of vaudeville or moving pictures, the general preference was for moving pictures. Accordingly both kind of refreshments will be served in the proportion indicated by the vote and moving pictures will have the precedence.

The next Freshman smoker will be held in the Living Room of the Union on Thursday night at 8.15 o'clock.
