Mr. Loomis Taylor, stage manager for the German opera at the Metropolitan Opera House of New York, has accepted the position of stage director of the "Siegfried" performance in the Stadium on Friday evening, June 4. Mr. Taylor is the first American to hold such an important position at the Metropolitan Opera House, and has also been an officer of the opera house of Manheim, Germany.
The public sale of seats for the performance of "Siegfried" at Steinert Hall, Boston, will continue until further notice. The demand for tickets is especially large, particularly for the boxes directly in front of the stage and orchestra at the north end of the Stadium.
