MORE AND BETTER TENNIS COURTS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With the beginning of University tennis practice today, it seems probable that from now on the usual overcrowding of the tennis courts will prevent full accommodation.

A number of schemes, among them the plan of reserving courts in advance, have been tried. These measures have been only partially successful and they do not hit the real trouble.

The only adequate remedy is the construction of more courts. Soldiers Field is the only available location. The objection that Soldiers Field is too exposed and wet can be met by the erection of wind breaks and properly drained foundation beds. Moreover some of the courts on Jarvis Field should be fitted up more suitably for the use of the University team.
