The first and second crews of the University Freshmen were put on the river for the first time yesterday. This made a total of seven boats in the water, the others being the first and second University, and the first Senior, Junior, and Sophomore crews. The coaching launch "Pup" was also launched, yesterday.

The men composing the first and second Freshman crews are:

First Freshman crew.--Stroke, Taylor; 7, Quimby; 6, Pope; 5, Nathan; 4, Davis; 3, Mackie; 2, Parker; bow, Brazer; cox., Place.

Second Freshman crew.--Stroke, Wiggin; 7, Knauth; 6, Burr; 5, Williams; 4, Olyphant; 3, Morgan; 2, Franklin; bow. Dickey; cox., Jackson.
