WELD BOATHOUSE IS OPENED

ALL COACHING LAUNCHES TO BE PUT IN RIVER SOMETIME THIS WEEK.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Weld Boathouse will be ready for use today. The floats are in place, and the building is heated. Only those members of the University who do not wish to row on any particular crew will use it for the present, as the class crews will continue to row at the Newell Boathouse for some time. For those who have H. A. A. tickets, the price of lockers will be but $2, the regular charge being $3.

The small launch known as "the pup" will probably go into the water today, provided the river remains open, as is expected. The larger launches "Veritas" and "John Harvard" will follow in a day or so, and the Freshman manager candidates are now being trained to run them.

Practice on the river has been going on during the whole of the past week. The University first and second crews, as well as the Senior, Junior, and Sophomore eights, took long paddles in spite of a stiff wind and a coating of ice on the oars.
