The Juniors and Freshmen were victorious in the inter-class football games on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon, and will play for the championship on Friday.

The Juniors defeated the Sophomores by the score of 9 to 8. The Sophomores had carried the ball to 1917's 30-yard line, when Weld's drop-kick was blocked, and Bliss picked the ball up and carried it sixty yards for a touchdown. 1918 scored a safety when Weld's punt rolled over the goal line, and Jacobs, picking it up, was thrown behind the line.

Early in the third period, Whittemore broke away for a brilliant 60-yard run, and was tackled on the Juniors' 10-yard line. The Juniors held for downs, and kicked. A series of short runs and a 15-yard plunge by Whittemore put the Sophomores, within striking distance, and finally Nelson carried the ball across, putting the Sophomores 2 points in the lead. Shortly before time was called, Captain Jacobs, of the Juniors, kicked a goal from the field, leaving the score 9 to 8 in favor of the Juniors. Whittemore starred for the Sophomores, and Jacobs for the Juniors.
