Two games were played in the intercollegiate association football series Saturday, Columbia winning from Cornell by 5 goals to 1, and University of Pennsylvania defeating Yale 4 to 0. Saturday's game was the first defeat for Yale, although one game was tied earlier in the season. Columbia and University of Pennsylvania are tied for first place in the series, each having won three games and lost one. Princeton and Yale are tied for second place, each having won two games, tied a third, and lost a fourth. The University team has lost to Princeton, Columbia, Yale, and Cornell by close scores. The Princeton game, however, must be played again for three ineligibles were allowed by Princeton to take part in the contest. If the game is not played over it will go to the University by default. Cornell and Princeton will play this afternoon the game contested for the same reason as that between the University and Princeton.

The standing of the teams in the league to date is as follows. For every game won two points are awarded and in case of a tie each team receives one point.   Won.  Tied  Lost.  Total. Columbia,  3  0  1  6 Pennsylvania,  3  0  1  6 Princeton,  2  1  1  5 Yale,  2  1  1  5 Cornell,  1  1  3  3 Haverford,  0  1  1  1 Harvard,  0  0  3  0

In addition to the game with Princeton which must be replayed the University team has to play two more games in the intercollegiate series. On December 4 the team will meet the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia and on December 6 Haverford College at Haverford, Pa. It is expected that the Princeton game will be arranged for some day after the southern trip. The University squad will probably leave Thursday if arrangements for the Princeton game do not conflict and possibly before the team's return to Cambridge next week the contested game will be played at Princeton.
