The Freshman class as well as the members of 1918 will be present at the formal dedication of the sun dial pedestal, which is to take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. This sun-dial has been presented to the University by the Sophomore class in recognition of its novel position and appreciation of the opportunities offered by the Freshman dormitories.

The actual work of erection the pedestal was begun yesterday by the firm of Coolidge and Shattuck, the same which made the plans for the three dormitories. Arrangements have been made by the committee in charge, composed of A. C. Sullivan '18, J. Lathrop '18, and L. O. Simonds '17.
