DOUBLES MATCHES BEGIN TODAY

All of the matches in the second round and most of those in the third were played off yesterday afternoon on Jarvis and Soldiers Fields. Play will continue today on Jarvis Field only, and the third round in the singles will be completed. The first round of the doubles will also be played. Matches will be decided by the best two out of three sets, except in the semi-finals and finals, when there will be three out of five. No postponement of matches will be allowed and contestants who do not appear within 15 minutes of the appointed time will be defaulted. Men must post their scores on the chart at Jarvis Field before 6 o'clock. Failure to do this will mean that both contestants will be defaulted.
