Three 1919 Crews Out

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first crews of the three Freshman dormitories took the water yesterday for a short work-out. The other candidates had try-outs on the machines. There is good material in the present squad and a promising outlook for the success of the autumn rowing. Standish Hall, however, has been short of oarsmen. Autumn rowing offers the peculiar advantage of giving its followers the use of the river immediately and the men who come out now get a very good start for future work. There will be no rowing on Saturday.

A third and last call is issued for candidates for the position of second assistant manager. More men are needed and those who start now will be in no way handicapped. They should report at the Newell Boathouse at 3.30 o'clock this afternoon.
