The class of 1918 in recognition of its novel position in the University and in appreciation of the opportunities afforded by the Freshman Dormitories, have appropriated a portion of the class funds for a gift to the University. The gift is in the form of a sun-dial pedestal which is being erected in back of Smith Halls on the path to Standish. The dedication will take, place next week and the entire class is to be present. The firm of architects, Coolidge and Shatuck, is the same which made the plans for the three dormitories.
