The 47 Workshop will give the first of two regular performances of "In For Himself," by Mark W. Reed, in Agassiz House, Radcliffe, tonight at 8 o'clock. This is an original comedy in four acts and deals with the rapid rise to fame of a young architect in Boston, but not of Boston until he has married the daughter of an eminent Boston family.
This is the second comedy that the Workshop has staged this year, the first being "The Only Girl in Sight," by Miss Caroline Budd. The third bill, scheduled for some time late in February, will be composed of one-act pieces. The novel work of adequately staging original plays in the Workshop is continually advancing. The last two performances have led to a more thorough organization of the scenery and property departments. T. C. Browne '15 is in charge of the scenery and lighting of this performance, and E. A. Whitney '17, assisted by E. P. Goodnow '17, is in charge of the properties. The need for a building is becoming more acutely felt with each additional production, but the excellency of Professor Baker's Workshop system is shown by what he has been able to do under the present hampered conditions.
Members of the Dramatic Club have been invited to attend these performances, the second of which will come tomorrow night. Tickets may be obtained by applying to P. F. Reniers '16, 58 Mt. Auburn street, between 12 and 1 o'clock today.
Playing in a driving rain on a rink covered with water the Andover hockey seven defeated the second team 3 to 0 in a necessarily slow game at Andover on Saturday afternoon. Williams (2), and Brough scored the goals.
