It was reported to the Public Service Commission yesterday that the Cambridge subway is operated at an annual loss of $400,000, and therefore the petition of the residents of Cambridge to build a station at Dana street has been turned down. It would mean an additional loss of $60,000. The company has decided however, to make another exit at Central square to better accommodate the late-afternoon crowds.
