Voluntary Indoor rowing, which is now drawing to a close, has been very successful. Almost 100 Freshmen and 70 University candidates have reported, and many promising men have been developed. Regular practice will start on Monday, February 15, but the voluntary rowing ends in a week.
Every man who expects to do any rowing at all this spring will be expected to report for the beginning of the regular work. University and class crews will be organized as soon as the rowing begins. It is especially desired that many Seniors report.
Arthur Beane '11 has been appointed to take charge of the Freshman squad during the season and at New London. Mr. Beane rowed on his Freshman crew squad, and also on various University squads. He has coached Freshman crews for four years.
