LACK OF ICE CANCELS CONTEST

Weather Conditions Preclude Game Between Freshmen and Pomfret.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

As there is unfortunately no ice fit to play on at Pomfret, the game which the Freshmen were to have played there this afternoon has been called off the there seems little prospect of arranging another contest with Pomfret this season.

Teams A and B of the Freshman hockey squad had a hard-fought 25-minute practice game at the Arena yesterday afternoon which resulted in a 3 to 1 victory for Team A. Condon on a pass from Taylor shot the first goal for the regulars and shortly after again caged the puck from a scrimmage. Percy scored from a scrimmage. Ginn brought in the only tally for Team B.

The Freshmen showed remarkable speed and stick-work, the ability of Morgan, Condon and Ginn being most noticeable.

Teams A and B lined up as follows: TEAM A.  TEAM B. Morgan, l.w.  r.w., Dunmore Condon, l.c.  r.c., De Rham, Ginn Pratt, r.c.  l.c., Rice Percy, r.w.  l.w., Timpson, De Rham Taylor, c.p.  c.p., Appleton Thacher, p.  p., Gardner Gwathmey, g.  g., Dickey
