PROF. PEPPER TO SPEAK ON "FUNDAMENTAL FAITH AND MODERN MAN."

George Wharton Pepper, LL.D., D.C.L., of Philadelphia, will speak in St. John's Chapel of the Episcopal Theological School, on Brattle Street, this afternoon at 4 o'clock. His subject will be "The Fundamental Faith and the Twentieth Century Man." The occasion today is the forty-seventh anniversary of the founding of the school.

Mr. Pepper is a prominent lawyer of Philadelphia, and is at present a professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of several legal treatises, and has written digests of the Pennsylvania laws and court decisions.

Talk on Christian Hymns

Hon. Maurice F. Egan will deliver the fifth of his series of lectures on "Typical Christian Hymns in Common Use" in Emerson D this afternoon at 5 o'clock. The address, entitled "Lyte, Bonar, and Faber," is open to the public.
