Seconds Rally and Win, 5 to 1

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Playing stellar ball, the University second baseball team defeated Pomfret 5 to 1 at Pomfret yesterday. Until the ninth inning the game was an exciting pitchers' battle between Whitney of Harvard, and Mott of Pomfret. In the last two rounds, however, the seconds piled up four runs from as many hits, a base on balls and an error. Pomfret's sole tally was scored by a runner who, securing a base on balls, went home on an error by O'Day.

Besides the pitching of Whitney, who let Pomfret down with four hits, the features for the University were the batting of West and Edgerton, and the fielding of Coolidge. Robinson played well for Pomfret.
