UNIVERSITY BASEBALL NINE FACES TEAM REPUTED TO BE STRONG.

The Syracuse baseball team will face the University on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The former nine has played two games with Dartmouth this week, winning one by a 5 to 3 score and losing the other, 7 to 1. The team is a strong one, and this afternoon's contest should be close.

The first and second University squads held a short practice game yesterday. After the workout Captain Wingate announced that the same line-up would face Syracuse as that which defeated Virginia. Frye and Osborn will do the battery work.
