BATES ON DIAMOND TODAY

UNIVERSITY TEAM WILL USE LINEUP TRIED IN GEORGETOWN GAME.

Bates College will face the University baseball team in the latter's first contest since the Southern trip, on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 4 o'clock.

The same line-up will be used as that which met Georgetown last Friday. Only a light workout in the cage was held yesterday. S. P. Clark '14 reported dressed to practice for the first time since his illness. He will probably get into the game the latter part of this week.

Although the Bates nine has played only a few games thus far, its strength is shown by the fact that it shut out Bowdoin, whom Harvard defeated 5 to 1, by a 4 to 0 score. The work of the pitchers, Stinson and Lindquist was unusual, only two Bowdoin men reaching first base.

The batting orders: HARVARD.  BATES. Nash, 1b.  s.s., McDonald Wingate, s.s.  3b., Coady Ayres, 3b.  2b., Fuller Gannett, r.f.  c., Talbot Hardwick, l.f.  1b., Cobb Winter, 2b.  c.f., Butler Milholland, c.f.  l.f., Drake Frye, p.  r.f., Winslow Waterman, c.  p., Lindquist or Stinson
