The second practice game of the year was held yesterday between two picked teams from the University squad. The line-ups were inter-changed to a great extent during the ten innings' play, but at the end, the team led by Coach Sexton was victorious by a 7 to 6 score. Several men were out for the first time this season. M. B. Phillips '15 who played in part of the Yale series last June, played at third base for three innings. F. G. Fripp '16 and H. L. Nash '16, both of last year's Freshman nine, got into the game for the first time. Every member of the squad was able to get several innings of work.
Coach Reeves divided the 1917 candidates into four teams. Four short games were played between the Freshman nines, no combination showing any marked superiority over another.
