Dynamite Aids Cornell Crews.

The Cornell University, junior and freshman eights were on the water on Thursday for the first time this season. The ice in the Cayuga inlet had to be dynamited to allow the crews enough room for good practice. Four of the men in the first boat rowed against Harvard last year, while three were members of the 1916 Freshman eight.

Outdoor Baseball at Princeton.

The Princeton baseball squad held outdoor practice for the first time Thursday. A short game was played between the first and second teams.

Classic Boat Race on Thames.

The annual boat race between Oxford and Cambridge Universities will take place today on the Thames river, England. The course is four miles long lying between Putney and Mortlake. The Cambridge eight is picked to win by most of the English experts, although Oxford finished three-quarters of a length ahead last year. This race is a historical event, having been originated in 1840, before the introduction of outriggers and sliding seats. Since that time Oxford has won 38 times and Cambridge 30, with one dead heat and five years in which no races were rowed.

Aviation Meet Scheduled.

The Cornell Aero Club has arranged with the University of Michigan for a dual aviation meet this spring. The system of scoring has not yet been determined. With Technology's recently established course in aviation, this shows the increased interest which college men are taking in the science of flying.
