"French Dramatists" at 4.30.

Dr. Samuel M. Waxman, Ph.D. '12, will deliver the sixth of his lectures on "Some Contemporary French Dramatists" in Emerson F this afternoon at 4.30 o'clock. The special topic of the lecture will be "Bataille, Bernstein, and Capus," and it will be open to the public.

Hon. Bertrand Russell at 8.

Hon. Bertrand Russell, M.A., exchange professor from the University of Cambridge, England, will deliver the second of his series of lectures on "Scientific Method in Philosophy" at the Lowell Institute this evening at 8 o'clock. The special topic will be "Logic. The Essence of Philosophy," and the next lecture in the series will be given at the Lowell Institute next Monday evening. These lectures are open to the public.

"A Man's World."

Norman Hapgood '90 will lecture on "A Man's World," in Emerson D tomorrow at 8 o'clock. The lecture will be given under the auspices of the Harvard Equal Suffrage League, and will be open to members of the University.

Mr. Hapgood is editor-in-chief of Harper's Weekly, which has come to be known as the official organ of feminism upon which the speaker will touch. In addition to his work as a writer, Mr. Hapgood has distinguished himself by his vigorous fight for the improvement of political and social conditions.

Prof. Anesaki on Japanese Art.

Professor Anesaki will give four illustrated lectures on "Art and Life in Japan," on Tuesday afternoons at 4.30 o'clock. These lectures will be given in the Lecture Room of the Fogg Art Museum and will be open to the public. The dates and subjects of the separate lectures are as follows:

March 24.--"Japanese Art, a General Survey."

March 31.--"The Imperial Court Life and Art."

April 7.--"The Warrior's Life and Art."

April 14.--"The People's Life and Art."

Senator Hollis '92 in Union.

Senator Henry French Hollis '92, Democratic Senator from the state of New Hampshire, will speak in the Living Room of the Union on Monday evening at 8 o'clock. The subject of his speech will be "From One Senator's View Point."

Reading of "The Liars."

Professor I. L. Winter '86 will give a reading of "The Liars," a four-act comedy by Henry Arthur Jones, at the Speakers' Club this evening at 7.30 o'clock. Members of the public speaking courses are invited to be present.
