FIELDERS WORKED IN CAGE

First Full Practice of Season Yesterday Marked by Particular Attention to Batting Form.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University fielding candidates reported yesterday afternoon in the Cage for the first spring practice. About fifteen men, including last year's regulars, were on hand for the preliminary workout.

After warming up, the remainder of the time was devoted to batting and fielding practice. The pitchers had their first work with real batters, the dummies being discarded. Coach Sexton and Captain D. J. P. Wingate '14 paid particular attention to the batting form of the candidates.

Hereafter only those men should report who were retained after the cut of last fall, or those who have secured permission from Coach Sexton or Captain Wingate. Practice will continue daily, battery men reporting at 3 o'clock and fielding candidates at 3.30 o'clock.
