The University rifle team was defeated by the Michigan Agricultural College by the score of 994 to 917, according to the results of the ninth week's shooting just announced at Washington. The score made by the Michigan "Aggies," 994 out of a possible 1000, is a new college record, and is regarded as virtually a world's record for the class in which the most important colleges are placed. An individual record was set by M. R. Freeman of the victors, who shot for a score of 200.
As a result of this victory, Michigan Agricultural holds the lead in Class A, which is composed of Harvard, Princeton, Technology, Minnesota and others. Washington State College leads Class B, while Illinois is at the head of Class C.
