THREE GOALS IN 10 MINUTES

The University hockey team defeated the B. A. A. 3 to 0 in a fast ten-minute scrimage at the Arena yesterday. There was a marked improvement in the teamwork over the ragged play that has characterized the former scrimmages this week. The attack of the forwards was fast and aggressive, their passes generally well directed, and their shots hard and well-aimed. Notwithstanding the superior weight of the B. A. A. forwards, the University defence generally succeeded in breaking up their formation, and in passing the puck back to their own wings.

During the first six minutes while the regulars were in, the play clearly favored the University. After a succession of fast rushes, the forwards passed the B. A. A. defence, and S. P. Clark shot a clean goal. Shortly afterwards Wanamaker scored from scrimmage. The play became more ragged when the substitutes were sent in, the only goal being scored by S. C. Clark after a good rush through the B. A. A. defence.

Freshmen Show Up Well.

In a five-minute scrimmage which followed, the Freshmen were defeated by the B. A. A., 2 to 0. The teams, however, were not unevenly matched. The Freshman offence was fast and aggressive. Townsend at left wing made several good shots. In defensive work the Freshmen generally succeeded in breaking the B. A. A. attack.
