A formal agreement has been reached between Coach James Wray and the University rowing authorities whereby he has agreed to sign a contract to coach the University crew for the coming five years. This contract will merely extend the present agreement between Coach Wray and the athletic authorities.

After several years spent in coaching crews in England and Australia, Mr. Wray accepted the position of coach at the Weld Boat Club in the fall of 1901. He resigned this position in the spring of 1904 and went to Detroit, where he coached the crews of the Union Boat Club. In 1905, he returned to Cambridge and since then has held his present position of head coach. During these eight years, the University has been defeated by Yale only twice, in 1905 by ten feet and again in 1907 by four feet.
