A rowing organization known as the Collegiate Rowing Association was formed recently in Philadelphia at a meeting held under the auspices of the rowing authorities of the University of Pennsylvania. The purpose of the organization is to bring together the different managers of the various college crews and thus facilitate the arrangement of dates for all intercollegiate rowing. It is further proposed to urge the smaller colleges and schools to take up the sport of rowing.
R. C. Cobb '15, manager of the University crew, represented the University and managers from Cornell, Yale, Princeton, Annapolis and Columbia were also present.
Manager Lackey of the Yale crews was appointed to draw up plans and regulations which will be submitted to the rowing authorities of the various colleges for their approval, and for ratification at the next meeting of the association, which will be held in New Haven.
