NEW INNOVATION AT PENN. GAMES

Two Races Arranged Which Will Give Small Colleges a Chance.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Two novel innovations have been added to the list of events on the program of the annual spring relay tournament of the University of Pennsylvania. They are in the form of relay races, but in the first one the man who runs first will cover a quarter of a mile, the second man a half-mile, the third, three-quarters of a mile, and the last a mile, while in the other race the first two men will run a furlong each, the third a quarter-mile, and the fourth a half-mile. These events have been added in order to give the smaller colleges, which are frequently without good quarter-milers a chance to use the best track talent that they possess.
