NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The 47 Workshop is planning to give a series of seven performances of "The "Chimes", a play by Miss Elizabeth McFadden, a former member of English 47, in various parts of Boston and vicinity, beginning on the evening of December 18. The production has been requested by the Christmas Red Stocking Committee of Boston. T. C. Browne '15 will have charge of the lighting and electrical effects of the production and E. P. Goodwin '17 and G. Heym IG., will have charge of the scenery end.

"The Chimes" was produced by the Workshop last winter with great success. It is an excellent example of illusionary setting and was one of the Workshop's most effective scenic productions. Miss McFadden, one of the founders of the Workshop, won the Craig Prize with her play, "The Product of the Mill."

This production will be in the nature of an experiment for the Workshop company. Outside performances by the Workshop have been greatly in demand.

K. Putnam '11, D. L. Kennedy '17, S. A. Peters ocC., and A. L. Cleveland '16 are in the cast. The schedule of performances is as follows: December 18, afternoon and evening, Dahlgren Hall. South Boston; December 19, Roxbury Neighborhood House; December 21, Charlestown High School; December 22, North Bennett Street Industrial School; December 23, afternoon and evening, South Bay Union.

The next Workshop production is to be given in January. The play is a comedy called "In for Himself", by M. W. Reed 2G., a member of English 47a.
