RED CROSS APPEAL WELL MET

TAG DAY DONATIONS OF $2603.40 TO AID WORK OF WAR RELIEF.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At 10 o'clock last night contributions amounting to $2603.40 had been collected for the Red Cross work in Europe. Inasmuch as a few of the collectors had not as yet reported, there is every indication that the total sum will exceed $2700. This generous response of the members of the University is a substantial evidence of Harvard's interest in the sufferings of the Europeans.

It is believed that every dormitory was thoroughly covered, and nearly every man approached, but the committee asks any who did not get a chance to contribute to send their donations to A. Beane '11, at Phillips Brooks House, as soon as possible.

The committee wishes to thank for their faithful work, those men who were appointed as collectors, and also those undergraduates whose contributions made such a collection possible.
