Minor injuries are still handicapping the Yale football team, but the coaches are driving the remainder of the squad at top speed. On Tuesday Scovil retired in the middle of practice with a slightly wrenched knee and although it is expected that he will start the game against Princeton Saturday, he did not report yesterday and in all probability will not be given hard work previous to the game. Carter has not scrimmaged since his injury last month, but it is hoped to get him into condition for the contest with the University on November 21. Higginbotham is still lame, although he took a short work-out yesterday. There have been no changes in the line since last week, but for the Princeton game it is possible that Sheldon will replace Betts at right tackle.
In the backfield Waite and Scovil showed up very well in yesterday's practice and Wilson, at quarter, put new life into the men. Von Holt was in the first actual scrimmage since breaking one of the bones in his wrist a few weeks ago. Le Gore is not in the best of shape and will probably not start against Princeton, while Wilson and Knowles are hardly strong enough to last through the entire contest.
