A discouragingly small number of men reported for the first practice of the University lacrosse team yesterday afternoon, only 15 men responding to the first call. The fall work is highly essential for purposes of training in the elementals of the game, and it is important that all candidates, both last year's men and those lacking experience, should report at once.
In about two weeks, a scrub series will be held to wind up the season, and to each member of the winning team will be given a cup or a medal.
