Lacrosse Men Begin Fall Training

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Regular work for all candidates for the University and Freshman lacrosse squads will begin on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock. All men who hope to make either team in the spring and who are not participating in a regular fall sport are expected to report for practice at this time.

Most of the practice during the fall will be spent in developing accurate stick-work and in mastering the fundamental principles of the game. By reporting regularly for the autumn work men with no experience can develop enough skill to become members of the team later. Freshmen especially will gain from the joint practice with the University squad.

In about two weeks a series of scrub games will be played. Each member of the team winning the series will receive a cup or medal.
