VOTED TO AWARD CREW "H" TO MEMBERS OF WINNING HENLEY EIGHT.

The Student Council held the first meeting of the year last night in the Trophy Room of the Union. Walter Henry Trumbull '15, of Salem; Russell Romeyn Ayres '15, of Montclair, N. J.; and William Henry Claflin, Jr., '15, of Boston, were elected president, vice-president and secretary-treasurer respectively.

The following men were elected to the Executive Committee of the Student Council: Henry Alexander Murray, Jr., '15 of New York, N. Y.; Malcolm Justin Logan '15, of South Boston; William John Bingham '16, of Methuen; and Wells Blanchard '16, of Concord.

The Student Council voted to award a major "H" to the University undergraduate winning the championship of the Intercollegiate Golf Association, this award to be retroactive.

The Henley crew was further honored when the Student Council voted to award a regular crew "H" to all men who rowed in the boat during the Henley Regatta. The following men, in the order in which they rowed will therefore be awarded the crew letter: Stroke, Charles Carroll Lund '16, of Boston; 7, Louis Curtis, Jr., '14, of Boston; 6, D. P. Morgan, Jr., '16, of New York, N. Y.; 5, John William Middendorf '16, of Baltimore, Md.; 4, Henry Stump Middendorf '16, of Baltimore, Md.; 3, Henry Hixon Meyer '15, of Kansas City, Mo.; 2, James Talcott, Jr., of New York, N. Y.; bow, Leverett Saltonstall '14, of Chestnut Hill, captain; and Coxswain Henry Ludwig Flood Kreger '16, of Fairfield, Me.
