ECONOMICS STUDENTS TO GATHER

The first meeting of the Undergraduate Economics Society will be held in the Trophy Room of the Union tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. Any man in College who is taking a course in Economics is strongly urged to be present, neither previous membership in the society nor membership in the Union being required. Professor Carver, who has spent the last two years with the Department of Agriculture at Washington, will speak on "The Organization of the Business Side of Farming," and will tell of the needs of the farming population, and the plans adopted and under consideration by the Government to assist them.

The society was started last year, the principal aim being to give students an opportunity for insight into the study of economics, through the medium of lectures, meetings and discussions. That the society might afford even greater opportunities for its members it affiliated itself with the American Economics Association, the Intercollegiate Civic League, of New York City, and the International Polity Federation, thus granting its members the privileges of active membership in these larger organizations. A library has also been founded for the use of club members, to aid them in preparing theses and to promote research work.

All persons who have taken or are taking, a course in Economics are eligible for membership; applications for which will be received tomorrow, or may be mailed to E. L. Keyes '15, Holworthy 21.
