Denied Winter Campus Housing, International Students Scramble to Find Alternative Options
More candidates are wanted for the Freshman track team. The work this winter is very important in developing material for a successful spring season and affords the coaches their first opportunity of getting a line on the men. As yet, but little promising material has appeared and any member of the class not engaged in some other sport is urged to report regardless of experience.
The first try-out for the men will be in the Coast Artillery games on January 24 and strong contenders in the 390-yard relay are particularly desired. Practice will be held for all runners on the board track at 4.15 o'clock every afternoon under the direction of Coach Donovan.
There is also a notable dearth of material in the field events. Any Freshman with aptitude in jumping, pole-vaulting, putting the shot, or throwing the hammer, is urged to report in the Cage every afternoon after 1.30 o'clock and receive individual instruction from Coach Powers.
