Mr. D. C. Miller, Professor of Physics in the Case School of Applied Science, Cleveland, Ohio, will give the second lecture of his series on "Sound Analysis" at the Lowell Institute this evening at 8 o'clock. The special subject for this evening will be "Methods of Recording and Photographing Sounds". Free admission tickets may be obtained of the Curator, Huntington Hall, Boston.
Professor T. W. Richards has recently been elected President of the American Chemical Society for 1914.
